Hi experts,

Finally got my BIS Tradition installed, still have framing etc to go but have fired it for the last couple days to see how it goes.

Initial observation is that the exterior casing gets really hot! The sides and back are too hot to touch (north of 160 deg F) which surprised me considering the zero clearance requirements to frame for this model (a friend of mine has a RSF Onyx, the case on that barely gets warm...?)

Have contacted BIS but would be good to hear from owners if you noticed excessive case heat too.

On the plus side the BIS really does deliver. I got 3500sqft above 70 with a few logs. Will be interesting to see what it's like when it gets colder.

Thx
