I'm having my F3CB installed this coming Thursday and wanted to know if there have been any mechanical changes made in the past few years to this stove. Additionally, is there a sticker on the stove that will tell me what year the stove was made? I would like to get a new staove but realize that the store might have stoves left over from last year ...... I don't want to make a big deal "insisting" for a 2009 model unless I am certain that improvments to the stove have been made.

The rating plate should have the manufacture Month/Year clearly labeled...
To the best of my knowledge, the F3CB has undergone NO changes in the last 5 years...

Last year was a blowout year.. most woodstoves were taken pretty quickly

They don't change stoves often. Costs too much to get them re-tested. My 2003 F3 is exactly the same stove as the ones at store today.

If stoves are like a most things, then when changes are made it is usually to make them cheaper to mfg.
