I want to thank everyone on here for their knowledge and willingness to share it. I bought from a local Stove store and installed my Napoleon 1100PL myself with some help from a great neighbor. I installed it using 6" double wall on the inside running into a new 6" double wall class A chimney on the outside.
I purchased an all black stove and before installing, I painted the legs and door a dark metallic brown to give it some accent with paint that I purchased from the efireplacestore. ( wife really likes that)
When I purchased the stove they threw in on the deal a Napoleon branded stove top magnetic temp gage. ( you can see it on top in the picture) The stove shop guy told me to place it on top of the stove in front of the stove pipe and that I should run the stove from 350 - 500 degrees. Is this the correct range to burn in? Also should I install a probe temp gage into the pipe and if so what brand & probe length would you suggest? Also what is the correct range?
Thanks to everyone!
