Just brought my new baby home today and it's resting comfortably in the basement.

[Hearth.com] New (to me) Englander 28-3500

I bought it lightly used from Michael6268 who is a frequent poster here and a great guy to boot. Now all I need is a chimney and some seasoned wood!

Dude...should have put it on blocks to make loading a smidgen easier...

I agree, I put mine on blocks and it keeps me from having to bend over so much. If you have any questions with running it, I have had mine for over a year now and its the only heat I am using. Not that it keeps it toasty, but it sure beats my electric furnace.

That's on my list. It probably won't get hooked up until sometime over the summer as I don't have the $$$ for a chimney just yet.

take your time and ask questions often will save you time and money

You should like your Englander furnace. AND like others have said, put it up on 4" to 8" blocks . makes it way easier!
