Where I live in northern CA oak is 300 a cord. A guy working at a golf course posted free oak tons of it. We rented a uhaul 6x12 and drove down and pick up a cord. Cost me about 80 with the gas and rental. Then next day a tree service was on craigs list wanting to dump about 2 cords of oak for 99.00. So three cords of oak for 180 Happy New Year to me. Where I live everyone heats with wood. Therefore, there's never any scores like that. Ever. Period. lol.
