Hey all-
Had my Regency CI1250 alterra installed and for the first use, I [stupidly] used a duraflame log. The tech who installed it recommended using a small fire to start, and my response was, "maybe I'll just use a duraflame for the first one to break it in" he agreed so I thought j was doing the right thing.
After running it, I found out that this was a no-no.
I ran it for about 3 hours. I finally sat by the insert with the door open and the flu about 60% closed.
I closed the door after about 40 minutes or so and it went out.
I also realized I wasn't left with a manual but I found one online.
Anyone see any issues going forward? Tbis will be an isolated incident but being a new system I'm a bit concerned I screwed up
Thanks
