Thank goodness I have found this forum. You sound like you really know what you are talking about.
We have recently had a stove fitted in our lounge. We had an open fire for many years but 11 years ago we had an electric fire fitted. Now we have opened up the space again and had a multi fuel stove fitted. The sides and back are made up of brick covered with fire resistant plaster board which has been plastered over. We have found that the wall gets very hot despite having the correct space around the stove. Would it be any better if we tiled the walls? If so what adhesive would you suggest? The heart is just concrete with slate tiles.
I would be really grateful for any help.
