Moving this over to the hearth room.

Here in NE Ohio myself. Looks like we are going to get a lot of pretty secondary views this next week or so as the temps drop like they are predicting!!! Nothing better than a nice hot stove firing off as it should. I've only had the 1402 since October and love it!!! Awesome vid!

I'm so new to this burning, that that would scare the heck out of me. in fact, I have had one or two like that, and I could not sleep. Good to know that that is o.k.

Thanks for posting

Crater If you are not running your stove like this you are not running it efficiently. This is how they are designed to perform and the secondary burns are perfectly normal and safe. You need to get the stove temps to a point they can burn off the gases that don't get burned initially. Don't be afraid to run that thing like it is suppose to be or you are not getting the best performance out of the thing!

Here is my 1402. Not running near as hot as the one above but secondary still firing.

I like this thread! Here's my timberwolf 2200 on a load of beech mc between 15 and 18 percent stove top creeping up around 800 at this point, maybe 20 minutes after reload.

John, you are not the only one. I've spent more time on the floor in front if my 1402 than on the couch next to her. I think she is getting jealous! I'm borderline addicted to this damn thing. Man problems! Ha

My wife said she's going to buy me a body pillow so that I'll be more comfortable laying on the floor staring up into the stove.... :)

I do this all the time! :) I made my stove and it sits kind of low to the floor. Also, I didn't put a window in it. I'll see if I can get a secondary burn pic tonight.

Thank you very much! I love this stove, i can stare at the secondary burn for hours. House is 2000sq feet roughly and does a fantastic job of heating it.(almost too well sometimes!) cool thread! Let's see some more vids!
Here are some secondaries from my big cat. While not as rambunctious as the flames of your non cats, the Buck 91 has other attributes besides beautiful flames. Although they certainly beautiful to look at.
