A coworker of mine says there may not be sales tax on wood stoves in NJ. It just so happens to be, that a dealer in NJ, about an hour from my place in PA has the best price on a Jotul Oslo. Can anyone confirm if there is sales tax on stoves there? Ill probably go to NJ anyway to buy it, unless my local dealer with match the price, however, if there are no taxes on it, im going to NJ.

I was charged tax when I bought my Jotul F55 from Wood Heat in Flemington NJ in 2013. Nice folks over there.

Thanks. The store i was going to get it from was closed, but i got a hold of another and see they do charge sales tax. It was worth asking around.

I went to my local dealer and told him the offer the NJ dealer offered me and he was glad to beat it....by a penny. Haha. The way i see it i dont have to drive to NJ and pay the walt whitman toll. It all works out. Thanks for the info though.
