New insert being installed into a external chimney (chimney is actually bricked over on the outside with a much prettier brick, there is probably a 1-2ft air gap between and then the top part runs through a knee wall).
As much as I want to, I'm just not going to have time to make a Block off plate before Thursday and its killing me how much efficiency I'm going to be leaving on the table.
I have about 11 extra rockwool batts from an insulation project earlier. Will it help at all to tuck the rockwool just behind the stove faceplate(right up against the stove body and inner fireplace wall). Im thinking it will help slow the draft from between the brick joints?
Thoughts? Anything else I should do to help.
