Vermont Energy Control Systems LLC is proud to announce the official release of our new 'Vesta' control system. This system is the next generation of the 'NoFossil Control System', which came into existence and grew up here in the Hearth.com community.
Vesta, named after the Roman goddess of the hearth, is a general purpose control system that's well suited for complex heating systems. It can monitor up to 16 different temperatures and 32 'discrete' inputs (switch closures). It provides variable speed control of ordinary circulators and fans, and can also control up to 32 outputs which can be relays, LEDs, or alarms.
Vesta provides datalogging as well. It keeps a full year of data - every input and every output, at 1 minute intervals - on an on-board SD card. Data for any day can be downloaded into a spreadsheet with a single click.
A built-in web interface provides access to monitor the system from your living room or anywhere in the world. A web based programming capability allows the creation of simple rules to control system behavior.
While the Vesta system will look very familiar to anyone who knows the NFCS, Vesta now has a real company behind it. There have been numerous improvements in both hardware and software, and it's still built here in Vermont.
I'm grateful for the support we've received form the Hearth.com community, and we're proud to make this announcement here.
