Went out in the rain to cut that red elm. Got a nice bunch of wood and the bark peeled off like the peel coming off a ripe banana. Took a piece back to the house to see if it split like the first piece and one smack with the maul took it in half. These last two trees I took made me realize the condition of the tree your felling has alot to do with everything.
