:red: If it would be feasible to drop some fir- balsam incense chunks in the firepot , when it's not running of course, she would like the smell waiffing thru the house . She figures it shouldn't be a problem but i kinda go by , if it works ... don't mess with it . Watcha all think of the incense thing ? Muss
 
I would never put anything besides pellets or corn in my stove!

Since a stove is self contained, you wouldn't get much scent flowing through the house unless you put the incense inside the heat tubes. I wouldn't recommend that either.

My wife just puts a ceramic bowl of potpourri on top of the stove.
 
I like the potato idea better....go with a potato lol :)
 
you could always just hang one of those automotive christmas trees on the door handle.

(I've had a birthday cake thrown at me, luckily a good catch, so YMMV)
