New flooring in the family room where our wood stove is located. Wood laminate and ceramic tile.
I added the tile around the existing brick hearth to accomplish two things 1) square corners are a lot easier to do with the laminate and they don't make many trims that would cover the edge of the floor against the curved front of the brick very well and 2) I've now greatly increased my overall "hearth" area in terms of square footage which provides not only greater protection for the current stove but more possibilities for the next stove.
