I had my first season of making maple syrup last year. It has become something I really enjoyed and am looking forward to. I Understand the mechanics of the sap run process and know all about temperatures etc. We have only had one solid freeze so far here in Ohio and it was in November. I am sure we have some winter coming but hard to tell at this point if it will bet really cold and for how long.
