Feeling the Heat

Because of structure in the attic my chimney can not sit directly above the stove. It will be off set to the side about 16" and away from the wall an additional 6". Because my house is small. 1500sq ft. I dont have any other place to put the heater. Ill have to use two 45* elbows to get it hooked up. Does anyone think there will be an issue with that?
Thanks.

Are you talking about 45 elbows in the chimney if so it cant be done 30 is the max you can use 15 would be better. If it is in the stove pipe 45s are ok but the softer the angle the better

Then that is stove pipe not flue and yes you can use 45s there but is you can go with a softer angle it would be better

if you are using single wall yes that is the normal type most people use

Yes single wall. Id rather go strait out. But thats going to require moving wiring and vent piping. Will it effect sweeping the chimney? Have to bends in the pipe.

depends how you will be cleaning it but most of the time it should not affect cleaning you will just have to push harder to get through the elbows
