I've noticed a leak on my County Line 22 splitter. It leaks from around hydraulic oil filter seal. I've tightened it , but it still leaks. Is it common ? I located new filter and going to change it tomorrow. Is there a good chance it will fix the problem?

Make sure you lube the seal area before you put it on. A dry seal can get damaged when screwed on without doing so. Most likely the trouble you have with the one on it, outside of some defect to the filter housing.

Not common. Grab a new filter and check the sealing surface for debris/defects and oil it up before you tighten.

Usually, the procedure is spin the filter until it makes contact with the mating surface, and then tighten 3/4 turn more. I go a bit tighter than that on these, but not too much.

Changed the filter and leak stopped. Now I need to add hydraulic fluid.
