I purchased 2 DHT splitters back in 2015. One is a 22 ton and the other a 27 ton. Well after 11 years and tons of wood split I needed to do some maintenance to them. Both hydraulic cylinders started to leak and the one control valve started leaking also. For years it's been just changing oil plugs and air filters and now and then a hydraulic filter. I had a local shop redo them both. Ran me 150$ each.. they even repainted them while apart. Both look totally new, Both were honed new seals..

I got both of them back up and running now. Iv gotten a lot of use out of the 2 of them and when I made the purchase both were delivered for just about,900 bucks with the fluid. The motors on them still run like a champ neither surge. The 27 ton has the 4 way wedge which is super cool. Both are full beam

The price and quality of the splitter I see now are so much different then 10-15years ago. I'll probably sell the 27ton soon as my son and I are no longer selling firewood after this fall.
Kinda sad but happy for him to go to college
