Old fireplace construction schematic

I found this old schematic when I was getting my fireplace prepped for my insert and wanted to better understand what was behind the walls. My house was built in 1890 and the fireplace and chimney were constructed pretty much as shown in the schematic, including the brick arch that supports the hearth. At some point I believe it became more common to have a poured concrete slab under the hearth instead of the brick arch.

Anyway, thought this might be interesting to hearth.com members.
