Question:

I have the opportunity to purchase a 1979 vintage Morso woodburning stove. Assuming the stove is in good condition, how would this type of stove compare to newer stoves in terms of emissions and efficiency?

Answer:

It's a good stove. The newest stoves might have a 60-75% efficiency, while the Morso might be 50-60%.
Morso is planning to import stoves into the US again starting this year (2000)
