I got a pellet master for free years ago, it needed a new auger. I welded up a new one and installer it. I usually don't use it that much since it's in my garage. It's always blackened up the glass and the heat output seems low. I've checked the gasket and the combustion fan seems strong. I've cleaned it many times hoping it would help. I don't use it that much, but but the air coming out of isn't as warm as I thought it should be. I'm getting my pellets from the local menards, only place that carries pellets. I would really like this to put out some serious heat. What is my next step?

Are you seeing variations in auger run times with different settings? How tough would it be to disconnect and wheel it outside so you can use compressed air on the internal exhaust passages? Otherwise, disconnect vac switch and use the leaf blower trick. Likely exhaust passages that have not been completely freed of ash buildup.

Looks like a clinker problem with residue from burned pellets not clearing the burn pot. Some stoves require a quick scrape of the burn pot to break up the clinkers. Not sure what safety features are associated with the door mechanism but you should be able to do a quick scrape and get the door closed without the fire going out. Some folks have cut down metal flippers to fit their burn pot specifically... cheap barbeque ones are longer handled and should work well for that.
