This unit is supplemental to our heat pump... and it lives in our main family room where we sit on the couch watching TV all winter... It's not that I think I need all that BTU, but I guess I was just looking for something "comparable" since this is the first pellet stove I've ever owned and don't know much else. What's most important after heat output, is quietness... We ran the Quad on medium as the fan is fairly loud and can be annoying when you're watching TV.

I know how frustrated you must be- seems like after so many visits, someone could have sealed whatever was leaking. I tell you, having sold and installed many CB1200s myself, you picked a great heater. Not all are perfect, and in this case, would have been best served in just changing out the stove, if leak was coming from the exhaust housing. Changing stoves is your call, but it will be at a cost. One would think the dealer would want to change stove out, take this unit back and either find the issue back at the store, or ship it back to Quad. You've shone extreme patience after making a big investment of your money and time, plus the frustration. Good luck, I hope the dealer does right and fixes this one way or another.
