I tried to order pipes from simpson duravent and was told that the only way to get them is at a store. I thought that I had read on this forum that you could order directly from them. what's up?

No way.....none of the chimney companies sell direct. You can buy many types of chimney online or at stove shops in your area. Big box stores are often less likely to have parts. Also some plumbing and heating supply houses have chimney.

Yes, Fireplacedeals.com DOES have cheaper prices than Dynamitebuys, but they charge for shipping....the prices at Dynamitebuys are very comparable, and their shipping is FREE.

I found dyanmitebuys.com to be cheaper on every part I ordered but one, and that was before fireplacedeals.com added shipping.
