It sounds like you may have a blockage. First, check the fines box and vacuum it out if it is full. Remove pellets from hopper and see if there is foreign object keeping the pellets from dropping. I recently had an unbroken bag of pellets that had a clump of sawdust in it (the bag had no holes, so it came from the factory like that). I didn't see it so once it made its way down to the plate above the screw, it blocked any pellets from going thru. Once I removed that, everything worked as it should.

stove was off for a while I started it and looked at the auger motor. it was turning feeding pellets. stove went on all night I got up and turned the feed up a little and it stopped feeding. could the motor be going

You could take the motor off and run it with a fused (5An120V) test cord. Check the bearings. Those motors are very small and sometimes have only one ball bearing. It is easy to get the rotating part out of alignment and it will stall. Also, check all connections back to the control card.

what would make it run all night then when I turned the feed up a little it stopped feeding? I have a new control board. maybe I will put it in being this one is over 12 years old

If it ONLY happens after you turn the feed rate up, then that looks like a control board. Try your spare for sure.

It's good habit to turn the pots up and down once and awhile, and don't leave them in the same position all the time. If you find that your POT (feed rate) could have a dead spot, you can get it replaced and then try the card again. I need to do the same myself. I have had the feed at 4, and temperature at 70F for a long time. The blower I do change speeds.
