Paint for fireplace (freestanding stove)

I am about to install my new wood stove in my fireplace, but wanted to paint the brick in the fireplace white to accent the stove.

Is there a special type of paint/method I should use?

I actually just did some research and found that latex paint will actually do fine up to 1200 degrees which the back and sides of my stove will obviously never reach.
