hi folks.new to forum. just bought a pacific energy vista. when we got home and unloaded it off truck there was a long angled piece of steel lying in the bottom of the firebox. seems to fit perfectly just inside bottom of the door. did some online research and think its the boost air manifold. am i correct ? dont see anywhere else this piece would go. any help will be appreciated.

Yes, that sounds like the boost manifold cover. Make sure the holes are facing the inside base of the firebox. And congratulations on the new stove.
