My Heritage bay is about 8 yrs old. It makes a grinding/ then thud noise every time the auger turns. I've vacuumed the fines and added the graphite. Didn't work. Seems to get louder the longer it runs. Any ideas?

Worn auger bushings, tired auger motor, or both, would be my guess.

Assuming this is your stove:

I agree .... sounds like auger bearings and a gear motor that's on it's last leg.
