Hi Gang,

I have a new to me stove that needs a good cleaning.

Went and bought some filter bags for the shop vac and they don't fit.

I have two vac's, and the bag wont work on either because the hose on the vac comes thru the top of the unit instead of thru the holding bucket itself.................if that makes any sense.

Do they make bags for my style vac? I cant find anything online.

Thanks for any input!

I use a ash vac to clean my stove. Not only does it do an excellent job filtering, it's rated to about 1200 degrees.

You probably want an ash vac rather than shop vac. It's worth $99.00 for the safety gained from a metal hose/wand, metal chamber, and heat-rated filter. Many on the forum say good things about PowerSmith and I've been impressed with mine so far.

I like the loveless ash vac

Cleva ash vacuum, about $100.00.
Much safer than using a shop vac.

I have a Bad Ash 2, got it for $50 on sale, regular price is $150 in Canada. I have used it a couple times and it works great so far.

I cant find a Loveless Ash Vac for under $230.. could anyone post a model # ?
The Powersmith one.. looks fine - is there a difference between them? Do either of them blow air out thru the tube - so I can use it to blow out the stack?
