A local news link to a residential fire that appears to have ignited the siding near the vent - ? improper install / thimble issue ? The article states the homeowner was "speaking with an insurance representative outside the house Thursday afternoon and declined to speak further", which will no doubt result in 'the trail of crumbs' leading back to the stove and vent install particulars.

Seem to be seeing more pellet stove residential fires of recent - I'm guessing there are more of them determined to be pellet stove related after the fire investigations are completed, that don't make the news as much 'after the fact'.
