Pellet Stove venting through the wall

I want to vent 3" pellet vent through the wall. How much of vertical rise to I need to be effective to create draft and yet not be too close to eave overhead?

What stove are you installing?
Most do not NEED a rise, since there is a
forced draft from the combustion blower.

What Daksy says is true. However, some rise is usually suggested by the stove mfg in case of power outage (check your manual) - then there would be enough draft to help keep smoke out of the house.
