I read that one too ... which brought me to the Rika site due to the "automated ash removal" with a tipping grate. Better system than the Quadra-fire pots? Apparently automated ash removal is becoming fairly common ... US stove makers are not keeping up with that.

This is for a boiler but interesting concept. Likely could set up auger run on a program like they use for cleaning the firepot on the Elenas.

On the program "Ag News" this morning they were showing the harvest of hybrid poplar in TN in a program run by the University and they project that they could produce 5-7 tons of biofiber per acre per year harvesting 40 foot trees every five years.

Not sure if I'm a fan of bioengineering ... some of the monsanto products are actually killing off pollinating insects. These studies don't always take into account long term effects that were not noted during the short study periods. Similar to drug testing short cuts in the rush to market...

Mr. Schmeiser is not the only one who has had his farm contaminated by a Monsanto product. Wind, animals, insects routinely play a factor in the grow cycle.
A friend has based part of his career on non-gmo free range chicken ... getting tough to source non-gmo feeds.

The poplar if I recall right was discovered here in MN when a farmer noticed this particular bunch grew far faster than others on his farm.
Poor bees dont have much of a chance when the use of nicinoids started.
