Anyone have any experience burning Westwood (softwood) or Michigan (hardwood) wood pellets from PelletSales.com?

I've seen some threads with good things to say about both of these after a burn of a bag or 2 but I'm wondering how they are after several bags...

I can't buy a few bags from them to test burn so any input would be appreciated!

I just received some Westwood pellets yesterday and started burning them last night. I am on my second bag. So far, so good. They have less fines than the Cubex and NE Pellet (both hardwood). The heat output seems to be just as good while the ash seems to be less too. Hopes this helps.

I am burning Westwood pellets according to my local hardware store (clear bag, no brand name on it, just says "Premium Pellets. Made in Canada") so I am going on what they told me. This is my first season with the stove and it has been hard to find other brands to burn for comparison - VT is slim pickin's right now.

So far I find they give off good heat, smell nice like wood when I open the bags. Not many fines, except for some bags that were near the bottom of the pallet. Nice, even pale color to them. I don't like how quickly my glass gets sooty (unless I am burning on the high setting, which makes less soot) and I do get what I think is a lot of brown ash after I go through a bag. No clinkers at all - the pot is always clean whenever I clean the stove. One auger jam but that was due to the damned Arbor fuel gate. Pellets are all short to medium length.

I am eager to try other brands I have been reading about in these forum postings but it looks like I'll have to wait until spring when people get new orders in.

Well...I burned 3 bags of Westwood and am very pleased with the results...heat output is good and the ash is about average...the fines were very low...
