I believed you , that was never in my mind.
We just like to see pictures of CSS fire wood. (Wood porn)
Bye-the way: Great pictures :)

Bogy: I figured you believed me.......I was just having fun.

It also appears you do the same as we do. That is, do the splitting in the Spring. We usually get started when snow melt is about done. Sometimes we have to use a sledge to loosen that bottom row as it will be iced in but that is no big problem. Somehow I just like splitting in the spring of the year.

LP, nice work on getting ahead, is it all Locust.

No Zap it is not all locust but there is quite a bit that is. A little bit of everything. I like a mix but do not separate it just stack as I split. I just filled the stove with hickory this is the first time this year that I ever burnt any hickory.....not a lot of it around. Locust, beech, maple and cherry is what I burn the most and my preference in that order....get a little oak now and then.

I don't mind splitting in the winter, but usually will wait and then work in the evenings when it starts staying light longer. I may get some splitting in soon though but not for myself. A gentlemen at church has had a hard go of it. Heart surgery and some complications....started last year about January. I took him down 2 loads last year and 1 so far this year. Just talked to him today and he has some wood that needs split and I think I'll take him down another load soon.
