Pics of your fans to circulate the hot air?

Hey guys and gals. Im looking for pics of how to all circulate the heat from one room to the next.

These work great. They are quiet on low and medium and you can put them in a doorway without blocking it.

Here's my system. The ceiling fan pulls the hot air away from the apex of the cathedral ceiling, then the wall fan pumps it into a stairway to the upstairs. The door fan then pulls it into the master bedroom. We rarely use the door fan.

The system works OK when it's 78 degrees in the living room and 58 upstairs. Not much gets into the bedroom.

this is the only fan I use...has 3 speed settings...I've only had to operate it in the low speed setting..Seabreeze boasts it uses less power than a 100 watt light bulb..

They also make one of those upright ones that oscillates on its pedastal. I have an old one that the previous owners left at my place.

My wood stove is in the sun room behind the green wall. I installed an 8" duct fan (with dimmer switch) in the wall and a 90º swivel elbow that shoots the heat back the hall to the bedrooms an bath. No other heat is needed : )

The ones I bought aren't exactly as pictured. The are made by Holmes, and I bought them at WalMart. In the summer they sell for 40-50 dollars. I bought mine at their end of summer sale for 20 dollars each.

I like them because they are squirrel cage fans instead of propellor fans, and thus quieter. Also they don't take up much room.

Thanks for the reply.

I have been using 2 sizes, from an 8 in. sq. box fax to a 23 in. fan in a circular frame instead of a box.

Both of these have done fairly well, but i like the idea of having more door space. The fans I have been using sits in a cased opening 3 FT wide between the kitchen and LR.

I will go out and look for one of the tower type.

well, I don't have pics of my actual application yet, but I do have links...

I have 4 of these corner fans. 2 in doorways between the unfinished side of my basement where the stove is, and the finished side, and 2 facing upward under 4 X 10 floor vents in my kitchen and hall between the 2 bedrooms... They use very little electricity, and are almost dead silent, even with 4 running, and move a surprising amount of heat.

Also, as if the Jotul firelight isn't hot enough, I added one of these:

Magic Heat Reclaimer

I didn't pay that much for the reclaimer... I think I paid $142 including shipping... so look around, you can find great prices on these.

On a 6 degree day, without the heat coming on, I'm able to keep 3780 sq feet heated. The coldest part of the house, the master bedroom is about 72, and the laundry room where the stove is stays about 78-80

Nice ! I thought about doing this too. My porch with the stove can be vented like this to heat my upstairs. ;-)
