Thinking about buying a glacier bay stove, which converts to a fireplace insert with the addition of some steel panels, and it has an 8 inch exhaust. I have JUST put a 6 inch SS flex liner up the chimney. Can I hook the one to the other, or is this a REALLY bad idea?

code wise unless you stove is listed to opperate with the 6" vent option is not allowed. Would it work right is anyone's guess

Elk is right.

With as much wood as you can stack into that Glacier Bay, I'd have to say a six inch s/s Liner ain't gonna do it.
