My general habit is to fire the grill and then brush the hot, dried out stuff off, so as not to goop up the brush.

I'm not thinking a poly brush would do that, but if it would handle getting cleaned with oven cleaner or something, that'd be fine I suppose, and I'd just change habits.

I saw early warnings about this a year or two ago, and tried switching to a different style brush and being more cognizant, but haven't seen another real option (other than the grill stones) that I knew worked well enough to try.

Cleanse it by fire. ;)
