I am need of some help please. We have had this pellet stove going on it’s 4th winter now and this year we are getting a 08 Depression code, had both safety switches tested and are good and replaced the vacuum switch and still get it, but now the ignitor turns on but won’t ignite, need some help please. Thanks!!

Sounds like some passages through the stove are clogged up a bit with ash. Give it a good cleaning and get all the nooks and crannies.

No ash, have thoroughly cleaned the stove, down to vacuuming out the side vents and no ash, the heating element starts, everything starts but now the stove doesn’t ignite the pellets.

Same issue, persistent 08 Depression error code after 2 winters of use on a brand new stove. Always kept the burn pot and ingition chamber clean, then found the deep clean video on YouTube. What that video did not cover was how to check and clean the vacuum switch (AKA the safety pressure switch). After cleaning thoroughly all the anti-explosion doors at the top and bottom, I finally pulled this beast away from the wall, disconnected the stove pipe from the back of the stove. In the pictures of the exhaust tube on the back of the stove you will see a small verticle threaded opening on the top inside of this exhaust tube (maybe 2 inches back from the exhaust tube edge). This opening is connected to the safety pressure switch. All three, the door switch, the hopper door switch and the safety pressure switch are interconnected and one operating out of parameter will trigger the 08 Depression error code.

Mine was caked with soot and I could not even seen the opening in the exhaust tube. Vacuumed it out and wiped it down with a moist rag and it seems to have solved my recurring 08 Depression code. Of course, since I had the stove torn down that far, I gave the stove pipe a much needed sweep.

My annual Deep Clean Procedure will now include this, on top of cleaning behind the anti explosion doors and changing their gaskets.
