Here in upstate NY , have a profile 20 that keeps "faulting" after about 5 min or so. Cleaned it and checked the current "EYE" and its clean also.

Have been reading about relocating the eye into the hopper, and was wondering if there are any instructions and where would i fine this kit.
My eye is under the hopper and looks thru a very small slot

Thx Cliff

Hello Cliff,

Last week forummember Don2222 made a very useful thread on how to bypass the photoeye with the more common low limit switch as found in the older Whitfield stoves ( including mine ). It turns out that the combustion blower housing on the Profile is identical to those equipped with a low limit switch... a metal plate on the Profile 20 is covering the opening for the switch. Don's thread can be read here:
https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads...ery-anyone-try-this-see-pics-it-works.132882/

Otherwise, the photoeye relocation kit can be found here for $ 185,-

Let's hope that Don will chime in soon, so he can tell you where to find the right low limit switch.

Good luck
Bo
