I have a new Regency B36XTCE propane fireplace with Proflame 2 remote. All functions on the remote seem to work except the fan blower speed. Remote shows fan speed increase/decrease but nothing actually happens to fireplace fan speed.

Do you hear a beep when you push the button to turn the fans speed up and down? The single beep is the unit telling you that it recognized that you asked it to do something. 2 Beeps when you push a button indicates that the voltage in the battery pack in the unit is getting low.

In case you didn't figure it out by now... The B-36 does not have the ProFlame 2 system. (I wish they did)
It has the ProFlame 1( gray remote.) The blower can be controlled with the remote if it has the control installed. Most likely the speed is controlled by a rheostat located underneath the fireplace.
