Well I got my flue installed. It took longer than I planned. Now I am getting ready to tackle my hearth. The game plan is simple. I am going to remove the carpet. Cut the subfloor. Notch my floor joists. Put the subfloor back down and pour two inches of concrete down. Of course I will have to block up under it. Then I will put tile on it. It actually won't be very expensive. I do have a question for englander owners.
Question 217: Is there an easy way to take off the pedestial and put the legs on? The directions in the manual are cryptic at best. Example it says to lay the stove on its back. The back is the only way I see to access the carriage bolts holding on the pedestial. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
