Question:
We recently purchased a home which has an Austroflamm Espirit wood burning stove installed. The house is approx 1 year old. We have been burning Duraflame logs in the stove all winter. Is this okay for the stove, or is this a big mistake. Would appreciate hearing back.
Answer:
These type of manufactured firelogs should not be used in a closed stove. They contain wax which will not properly combust in the absence of enough air. Buy some real firewood.
