Hi- Last year I bought a Quadra Fire Mt. Vernon Insert. I love it. I used it all winter on manual mode. I would set the hold temp at 84 (never reaches it) and I just let it burn at different flame heights depending on the temp. outside. Works great. This year I would like to use the thermostat on occasion. For example...if we're away over the weekend I'd like to come home to a toasty house. I'd like to have the stove fire up at 3pm and hold the temperature at 70/ For the life of my I can't figure out how to use the thermostat. I have tried everything. I have programmed it but can't get it to fire up? Please help. Thanks.

Only suggestion is to read the manual. And have you set the date and time? kap

Agree. Have an MVAE, and agree it's not the most intuitive thermostat. But when in doubt, read the instructions.
