Hello Folks-
I'm relatively new to pellet stoves, but my Quadra-Fire Castille (~20 years old) works great with the mechanical thermostat.
I would, however, like to replace it with a digital programmable T-stat, but the Quadra-Fire model seems expensive to me at $150.
This looks like a standard mercury switch (nothing special), but I wanted to see if folks have replaced it with a non-QF unit?
I've seen some discussions on the LUX.

Thanks,
Sammy

You should be able to use almost any battery powered thermostat. Lux is a popular one here. Cheaper than Honeywell.
