Ive recently moved leaving my old trusty standalone earth stove behind. I'm looking for a large insert to throw in the masonry fireplace with exterior chimney on the ground floor of my new home.
I'm going to look at a used quadrafire 5100 of unknown vintage tonight. Are there any common issues or problems I should be looking for? If the original info plate is missing or illegible is there an easy way to try and date the stove? What's a used in good condition 5100 worth ? ( considering his is probably the most expensive time of year to buy)
