Quadrafire 7100fp outside air question

I have a question about the outside combustion air knob on my quadrafire 7100. I cant remember whixh way to turn the knob to open it up. The manual says turn it clockwise to open it and didnt seem like it was getting any air.I found this link that says turn it the other way to open it.Which way is right?
