I just bought an older Castile insert. I got it installed, yet think the control box may be out. When I plug in the power, it feeds pellets before it gets the start signal from the thermostat. It will not stop feeding. Please help.

Betting the triac that controls the auger motor is shorted between the source and drain pins so it feeds power to motor continuously. Not a difficult fix for someone with a bit of electrical background and a soldering iron and small lead clippers.

If you need more help PM me and I'll look at a control board to see which triac you need to have tested.

Control box is a bit over $200 to purchase.
