Hi there,
I bought a used 2008 quadrafire pellet stove insert that was stored in a guy's garage for a few years. We tested it out and everything seemed to work great. I cleaned it, repainted it and tested again and fine. This weekend, we installed it in the house. We added new venting for the first three feet and connected it to the old in the chimney, which we cleaned prior to install. Start her up and she seemed to be working like a champ and then it got too warm, so I went to turn down the auger and the stove would not turn down, stayed on high heat. So we went to turn her off with the control panel and she would not turn off. In the end, we disconnected her control panel from the unit to get her to stop. Then we waited a day and and tried her again. this time no lights worked on the control panel. She doesn't turn on now. Any suggestions? Do we need a new control panel and can we get one for an older model like this? We are pellet stove novices so any info would be a great help. Help us exercise this pellet stove demon before Halloween because this is our only form of heat in the house. Thanks!
Michele
