Understood, your a pro, and know your industry. Those wood boiler are a different animal. I will say you may not have the authority to stop a dangerous situation. But I would document the condition and alert the owner. When something happens you are the pro. You can a will be dragged in.

The only ones who can really red tag anything are gas utility guys and that is because they can refuse service. An oil company could refuse to deliver oil but can't prevent them from getting oil elsewhere. We certainly can refuse service but can't keep them from burning. And honestly if we could it would open us up to lots of additional liability. So I am glad we can't
