I have a rectangular masonry chimney. Do I need to purchase a rectangular brush? (the rectangular ones are pricey ~ $90).
Should it be metal?

Does Home Depot / Lowes sell them? If not, is there a good place to buy them online?

Imo,a proper wire-rectangular brush does the best cleaning job in my clay liner.Local hardware stores do sell them....not sure of current pricing though.edit:Rutland rectangle brush....7x11=$66.00

Lowe's has them back in the duct work section. I bought my last one at ACE Hardware, 8 X 12, for $25.

newtown, in our area Home Depot has them now and they're around $25 or less. I want a poly brush for my ss liner and they don't have that....

Order a poly brush from ACE Hardware online and have it sent to a local ACE store and there is no shipping charge. Last one I bought was Rutland 8" poly. It was thirteen dollars and got there in two days.

I have a 12"x12" rectangular brush I only used once to clean my chimney before I put the liner in it. They are more than 25.00 bux. I think I paid 38.00 + 4.00 for the hook to screw in the end to hang a weight. 42.00 dollars total and I would take 25.00 for both.
