I'm about to get SS splitter that doesn't go vertical. Was using my hydro the other day and was wondering if I can use it to lift logs to the table. Thinking of removing the wedge and installing some kind of rack that will go up when splitter is in a vertical position.

that would be slow...
i imagine the SS is for speed,so counter productive.
how do the logs end up by the splitter? Back of truck ? Deck of logs?
Myself i have a table that is same height as the splitter,i back my truck up to the table and unload.after the lift to load the truck i don;t lift anymore.Wood goes from splitter to the wood pile while it is in my hand.
I try to minimize the times i actually handle a piece of wood.
